Artists' Statements:

It took travelling down quite a few roads to discover that I wanted to work with glass for a living. At my 10 year high school reunion, they [the organizers] had all of us fill out a questionnaire. One of the questions was "how many jobs have you held since graduating?". Though I didn't fill that part of the questionnaire out, when the person's name who had held the most jobs was announced, I discovered that I had held more. I have realized over the years that I've done quite a lot of things and walked a mile in many shoes. Throughout this journey, glass has always been there in the background in some form or another.
Though I am just getting started with my focus on glass, I have been around it for many years. I have watched many artists and have learned a great deal from them. This website (http://egg.bz/) was built in the spirit of honoring these artists, as well as the new ones that I meet every day. Now that I have built my own glass shop, I feel one step closer to finally having the resources to create. Donovan

My studio has been open since 1970. I create plates, vases, fruit and vegetable pieces and Bowls of fruit and vegetables. I also make a series of wood and glass sculptures called "Pear in a Chair" and "Wedding Pairs" consisting of small precious wood chairs and love seats with glass pears and other blown forms.
